Karolinka Golf Park
Karolinka Golf Park in Poland has been expanded into an 18-hole course with the addition of a new nine-hole layout, designed by Grzegorz Marcinków and constructed by All Golf Services. Completed in spring 2024, the project focused on integrating the new nine holes into the existing layout while setting a modern standard for design and technology.
The new nine features a parkland style, with narrow fairways surrounded by dense woodland. The layout provides a strategic challenge, requiring precision and careful planning from golfers. One of the major challenges during construction was ensuring the proper aeration and exposure to sunlight for the greens, as the course is located in a forested area. We carefully planned the placement of greens to maximize airflow and sunlight.
The construction also had to address diverse soil conditions, including shallow topsoil with solid rock just beneath the surface. The team overcame these challenges with detailed earthwork solutions tailored to each hole, ensuring a uniform and high-quality finish. The project incorporated ProBunker liners for greenside bunkers, a Rain Bird IC irrigation system, and high-quality seeds from Semillas Fitó. The practice green renovation used premium sod from Trawniki Expert.
Despite these obstacles, we delivered a cohesive design, resulting in a enjoyable golfing experience at Karolinka Golf Park.
